Ashley S. - San Diego Special Needs Caregiver

Profile of Ashley S.

Full-Time, 10 + Years of Experience

I have helped to care for my neighbor since he was 2-months- old. He is now 6-years-old. I have spent full days with him, as well as evenings for his parents date nights. I have also had him in my care all weekend when his parents were out of town (He was either 3 or 4-years-old at the time).
I also worked in a foster care group home for a year and a half, and I had 10 kids constantly in my care with the help of one partner. As well as the other 40 kids under my general care when needed, as all staff assisted each other when needed. These children were between the ages of 7 and 13-years-old, some of which had special needs. This job taught me a lot about myself and my passion for kids and it provided an opportunity to be around kids constantly. This job also required trainings and a background check

I used to volunteer in the nursery at my church as a teen and I cared for infants during the church service.

I have been a volunteer teacher for the 3-years-old's classroom at the Rock Church since 2006. This job also required a background check. (For anyone who read this recently, I no longer live in Murrieta, I am back in San Diego.)

I have occasionally taken care of my best friends little boy when she took her other son to preschool. This cute little guy is now about 2-years-old.

At the age of 14 or 15-years-old, I baby-sat for a couple at my church. They had a 4-year-old and 7-year-old at the time.
Related Hobbies and Interests
I love to watch and help kids as they grow through their milestones. I am active and energetic. I love to go for walks. I enjoy cooking healthy food. I don't mind cleaning, I am on the housekeeping crew at my school by assignment.
