Kimberly C. - San Antonio Special Needs Caregiver

Profile of Kimberly C.

Full-Time, 10 + Years of Experience

First off, my older brother is autistic, I've taken care of him since I was young. We had a special education program at our high school so my brother and his friends were able to go to the same high school as me. I had a very strong bond with all of them and adored them. They felt the same way towards me. Not only was it a natural part of my life, I also have been a nurse assistant for 11 years, and have extensive experience in all kinds of special needs persons. I've worked with all age ranges as well. I have always been able to relate with them, no matter how severe the case. I've always been able to bond quickly and earn their trust as well. It's natural to me. My brother means the world to me. I truly feel blessed to have him in my life. If I could turn back time and make him "normal," I wouldn't do it. I believe they're put here for a special reason, and I could not imagine my life any other way.
Related Hobbies and Interests
My whole life has been related to special needs care. I also would go help out with the Special Olympics off and on since I was little. My brother is in different sports all year round.
