Alina B. - Saint Louis Special Needs Caregiver

Profile of Alina B.

Part-Time, 10 + Years of Experience

Hello! My name is Alina. I am a 23-year-old, second degree nursing student at St. Louis University. Prior to studying nursing, I double-majored in Spanish and philosophy and religion at Ursinus College in PA, with a minor in biology. I graduated last spring, but have decided that nursing is the right path for me. I am CPR and EMT certified and serve on my local First Aid squad, and absolutely love helping people! I hope to work as an emergency room nurse when I graduate next year. I am from New Jersey and have been baby-sitting for local families for over 12 years. This past year, I lived in Spain with a family of three children (ages 8, 6, 6) as their au pair, while also studying at St. Louis University's campus in Madrid. It was one of the greatest experiences of my life! I also have been working at a swim school for the past 13 years, teaching mostly 3-year-olds but also children of other ages, in both group lessons and private lessons. I have baby-sat for children of all ages, from newborn to teenagers, and also for children with disabilities or illnesses, such as autism and asthma. I like to be a friend to the children I baby-sit and have fun and play games, but I also strongly value rules and reinforcing manners and appropriate behavior. I look forward to hearing from you and hope to become an extended part of your family!
