I have been a caregiver for many years and taken care of special needs adults from the ages of 16 to 100. I feel I would be adequate in caring for children with disabilities because I am willing to learn anything, have a car that is wheelchair friendly (station wagon), and have full-coverage insurance. I can work any hours and can take the child to appointments/etc, do any special-needs care that the parent requires. Being a previous security officer gives me the background to pass any background or drug test, and makes me qualified in dealing with any stressful situation. I worked in a hospital for seven years, mostly with psychiatric patients, and watched them and was with them when counselors were present.
