Helen B. - Sacramento Special Needs Caregiver

Profile of Helen B.

Full-Time, 6 Years of Experience

I enjoy working with special needs children. They silently have something to offer; if only someone takes the time to listen. I am that person! No, I am not a special needs whisperer. When you look into their eyes and smile; you see joy. When they look at something so simple and laugh; it reminds you to slow down and enjoy the little things in life. This is what I am talking about. With that said, I have over 10 years of experience in assisting with education, potty training, diaper changing, feeding, assisting with self help feeding, dancing, walking, stretching, swimming, preparation of food, driving to and from all appointments and events, family outings, dinner, parks, zoos, stores, and amusement parks. I also coached children for Special Olympics. I have NO experience with tube feeding or suctioning. I am a first year ASL signer. I have over 25 years experience with children. Successfully raised one of my own.
Related Hobbies and Interests
I love photography. With the permission of parents, I have taken pictures of their children on outings.
