I have a year of experience doing in-home autism intervention tutoring for children diagnosed on the autism spectrum. Although this position was held to teach specific goals, I got to know many children and families on a personal level and can apply my work to general care giving, as I know the overall applied behavior analysis approach. I would love to provide respite care both to children with autism and their siblings for families in need of a much deserved break. I also have taught many children in my 10 years of experience as an early childhood teacher with ADD or ADHD, developmental delays, and sensory integration disorder and feel I can bring my classroom management knowledge into the home care setting and give these children the attention and positive reinforcement they need and deserve.
