Helen L. - Philadelphia Special Needs Caregiver

Profile of Helen L.

Full-Time, 6 Years of Experience

My name is Helen and I have always been interested in children and adults with special needs. I worked as a residential counselor many years ago with high functional boys ages 5-17. I also have been doing medical foster care for six years until April of this year. I adopted two special needs boys, I was getting to attached and I can't adopt anymore so I knew I had to stop doing foster care (smile). To me their is nothing like working with a child and eventually seeing them make progress no matter how small the joy I feel from helping them keeps me wanting to work in this area.
