Rachel K. - New York Special Needs Caregiver

Profile of Rachel K.

Part-Time, 2 Years of Experience

I am currently a masters student studying school psychology at Columbia University. I've worked at a summer camp and after-school program for children with autism. I have experience with children with autism from ages 5 through 18, with great variation in severity, symptoms and other diagnoses. In addition, I did research as an undergrad in preschools that involved story-telling and structured activities. Lastly, I was a summer nanny for a family with three girls aged two, five and 16. The eldest is a special needs teen with both physical and mental disabilities. I am looking for a summer job working as a nanny for multiple children, children with autism, learning disabilities or special needs children. I have a safe reliable car, and am CPR and First Aid certified. I graduated from Lehigh University with high honors and would be available to tutor while babysitting. I also have (some) experience with potty training. I can provide references, have a child abuse clearance, and can do any background checks.
Related Hobbies and Interests
I enjoy traveling, reading, learning, creativity and outdoors.
