I currently work at ACR Homes, which is an organization with a mission to give every life a chance. At the group home, I work with four young adults (ages 20 to 30) with a variety of mental and physical disabilities. I am passionate about my job. I sincerely believe that every life is important and should not be ignored because of a physical or mental issue. I have an uncle with mental disabilities. I have always wanted to challenge myself by working in a group home like the one I am currently at. I love working at the home. The people there are my joy; they put a bounce in my step when I walk through the door.
