Elena E. - Miami Special Needs Caregiver

Profile of Elena E.

Full-Time, 10 + Years of Experience

I am currently an exceptional student education teacher for grades K-12 here in Miami, and a clinical psychologist from Peru. However, I have been working right now as a temporary instructor in Miami-Dade County Public Schools (school board) for five years. My experience is focused on students with special needs, especially with profoundly mentally-handicapped students. Also, I am attending physical, emotional, and behavioral disabilities in an inclusion room in regular classes in the different public schools, such as: Merrick Educational Center, Aurbundale Elementary School, Citrus Grove Middle School, Earlington Heighst Elementary School, so on. Consequently, my duties are the following: I assist in their daily needs (feeding, putting them to the toilet, putting them to the therapeutic machinery, so on) In addition, I am teaching an IEP planning day or regular planning day according with the special education teacher or regular teacher. Finally, I worked as clinical psychologist in Lima-Peru, for 25 years in the different psychology areas, but specifically my job went with severe emotional, mental, and social disorders patients (drug abusers) from adolescents and adults.
Related Hobbies and Interests
I enjoy with theater, reading, sports, travels, and music, especially classical music and classical rock.
