I have been working with children since high school. I have cared for newborns through teenagers. I have been a nanny twice before. Once to three children, age 4 to 12, where I lived in and did all manner of child related chores as well as general light housekeeping and cooking. One of the three children had Asperger's syndrome so I had to develop specific skills in relating to him. The second family had two children and I worked part time living out. I was a mentor to a teenage girl with autism and have taken care of multiple children on an as needed basis. In addition I have been an instructional assistant in several schools. I find my skills are better suited to a more personal relationship with children. I have lots of energy, know how to provide developmentally appropriate activities and genuinely enjoy children. I have also worked in coffee shops, been a photographer's assistant, worked retail and other varied jobs as I modeled and attended school. I am an organized and on time kind of person. I am 28, unmarried a good cook. Recently, my mother developed diabetes and I have been assisting her by cooking healthy meals. I am a great swimmer and have been an assistant swim instructor. My computer skills are good. When I was younger I traveled extensively modeling. I love animals especially cats. I am a self starter, a good packer, and know how to keep a calendar schedule. I am currently going to school full time online so my schedule is flexible. I have an AA in Education and am completing my BA in Health and Wellness. I have a valid passport. I have a clean driving record, valid CA. driver's license, 2004 Jetta, and insurance through Progressive. I am a nonsmoker and CPR and First Aid certified. If a car is provided, I would like to let my mother use my car instead of using it for work. Unless needed, I would spend my days off with my family and friends.
