Lela E. - Ladera Ranch Special Needs Caregiver

Profile of Lela E.

Full-Time, 10 + Years of Experience

Hi families! I have worked in the child care field for over 15 years. From November 2006-November 2003 I worked with the Orange County of Education as a para-educator working with children and young adults with special needs. During this time I assisted a certified teacher in providing instruction to students whose primary disabilities included severe to profound cognitive and/ or physical disabilities as well as students who manifested severe language and behavioral disabilities in a structured class setting. I found that working with children and young adults with special needs is very challenging but also extremely rewarding. It gives me great pride to know that I am making a difference in a child's life. I consider myself to be fortunate to have had the opportunity to be a part of the hands-on experience.
Related Hobbies and Interests
I enjoy being active. I feel that this allows me to have a positive attitude towards life. Some of the hobbies I enjoy are music, art, swimming, dancing, camping, cooking and photography.
