My experiences as an educator and music therapist have allowed me to design and implement activities for children and youth with cognitive, physical, and emotional disabilities. I have worked as a music therapist with KCK Public School District for 25 years. Additionally, I have worked as a summer school classroom teacher in an integrated classroom for students with disabilities and currently assist our district's Autism support group with family night activities so that parents and caregivers can get a break. I have served as president of a not-for-profit organization advocating access to the arts for individuals with disabilities. I enjoy providing integrating the arts into the lives of persons with disabilities as well as using interventions that will assist them with developing a high quality of life.
