Part-Time Special Needs Caregiver

We are looking for a part-time caregiver to join our team in caring for three joyful children with special needs, ages 10, 9 and 6, from 2-6 p.m., Tuesdays and Wednesday, and 1-6 p.m. Thursdays (optional/not required: date nights and occasional weekends). The perfect match for this position is someone who is a student/graduate of special needs related field (not required). Looking for a long term employment (one year or more). Experienced with special needs children. CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to attend course). Willing to play with purpose keeping PT, OT, ST, behavioral, self-help, cognitive, sensory, and social goals in mind; we use PECS [Picture Exchange Communication System], sign, devices and verbal communication - great for a speech major! Willing to administer medication and give baths. A licensed driver with transportation (DMV check required). Fond of children/cherishes them. Prompt, reliable and consistent. Patient and compassionate. Proactive and high energy. Clean and detailed. IHSS (In-Home Support Services) provider or willing to become a provider. Health, vision and dental benefits available through IHSS. Willing to be on TEAM MOM! Willing to do whatever it takes.
