Attendant Needed for Special Needs Child (Virginia Beach)

We are seeking a part-time caregiver for our 8-year-old autistic son. We receive funding from Medicaid to pay for our son's care.
Interested applicants and if offered the job will need to submit paperwork to Medicaid and undergo a back ground check. (it is very simple and will help you do this). Hours are flexible through the year. Hours through school year are 2:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. There are also 10 additional hours for the weekend which can be discussed at the interview. Hours are Monday-Friday, 25 hours per week plus additional hours Saturday and Sunday - 11 a.m.-4 p.m. (flexible). Depending on job applicants hired Monday-Friday or weekend hours may only be available.
Only serious applicants for long term care. Must be reliable, smoke and drug free, and have their own transportation. All care will be done in our home. Other duties include light cleaning (dishes/changing bed) help with homework, cooking, toileting/bathing, and some shopping errands (all close by the home). Could possibly include overnight stays few times per year.
Medicaid pays your fee. The pay rate currently is $8.86/hour. Attendant can be male or female. Looking for an active person for an active child. If you are interested please contact me so we can set up an interview. Please include in e-mail your current resume.
