I have not had much experience with special needs children, but I truly enjoyed the little experience I did have. I worked in a day care with an infant that suffered from a stroke when she was born, and she was my inspiration to switch my major to occupational therapy. I currently work part time in a nursing home and have several residents with special needs. I hope to get more experience with children and plan on working in the school system when I get my degree.
