I have a younger sister who was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis at the age of 15. I've assisted in caring for my sister for nine years. I bathe, brush her teeth, lift, comb her hair and feed her. I also have experience in using a suctioning machine when she has trouble swallowing. I have no paid experience in doing this because it is my pleasure. I am passionate about helping my sister and others with special needs because I feel that it is important for them not only to be loved but to feel loved and not as if they are a burden. I want them to know that they are capable of living productive fulfilling lives.
