My name is Katelyn and I'm 19 years old. I'm very responsible and relivable. Over the summer, I have experienced with the Anchor Program I volunteered bowling every Monday at the east meadow bowling alley for the summer. I helped them bowl using the handicap ramp, and helped walked them to get the ball. I talked, made them laugh and really had a great time. I also have a mentally challenged autistic cousin who is 24 but only has the capability of a 5-year-old. she lives in Maine. Whenever we go there or they come here about twice a year, I've always seem to click with her. We listen to music, color, watch TV, make her smile, and tell her stories. I always make her smile. My mother says I have a special connection with mentally changed or autistic children/adults.
