I have interned with an SLP in early intervention, working one on one and in groups with children (ages 0 to 3) who have developmental delays and varying disabilities. Additionally, I worked for Jewish Family and Children Services as a residential case manager for adults with disabilities. The women in my care had varying diagnoses - autism, MR, etc. I am extremely passionate about working with those with special needs - I have found that it is exciting to find new ways to communicate and teach, and every activity becomes novel. I truly love working with children especially, because it is invigorating to see someone develop every day.
