I cared for two toddlers with developmental delays. I care for a little boy born with a clubbed foot who was not walking at 18 months, not talking, and displaying possible characteristics of a gross motor skill's disorder. A little girl born 2 months premature. She was also behind in gross motor development as well as speech. This experience was very moving for me. I have never felt as excited as I felt when she took her first steps. I was so proud of her. Ever since then I have wanted to work as a teacher of early childhood special education. In the coming years I plan to get a master's degree in the field. For the time being, I just want to make a difference in the lives of children.
