Patricia M. - Austin Special Needs Caregiver

Profile of Patricia M.

Part-Time, 10 + Years of Experience

I have been providing auditory processing and handwriting therapy since the late 90's. I have two children with special needs, that I have home-schooled through high school, so I have taught pretty much every subject. In working as a therapist with different populations, I have learned how to teach to strengths, and how to help with weaknesses based upon
how the child learn best. I have over 10 years of experience working with and teaching children with dyslexia, Down syndrome, OCD, and autism. I have learned how to deal with unproductive and problem behaviors in a non-invasive and respectful manner. The experience that I have is also with non medicated children. All children deserve respect, and to feel loved and important. I will make your child feel safe, secure, loved, and respected. I look forward to hearing from you soon to discuss your childs' needs.
Related Hobbies and Interests
I enjoy researching ways to help my children live a more fulfilling life, spending time making teaching moments enjoyable though life experiences, reading, and most of all singing and music.
