I began my experience as a teen caring for my ailing grandparents whom I lived with, one of whom fought cancer and I was their main care taker and the other struggled with complications from diabetes. After they passed their friends families called on me to help care for their ailing family members. My grandparents always sent me to check on their friends who lived alone to just check in and make sure they were ok. I then moved on to working for companies, but only did it for a few years as I believe they are overpriced and not always reliable. I love caring for the elderly just because I feel I learn so much from then, and they always give me a little reminder of the time I shared with my grandparents as they raised me to be the person I am. I love listening to their stories of what it was like for them growing up and seeing the changes through the decades.
