I was fortunate to be able to care for my own Grandmother in her time of need. I moved in with her five years ago and was her primary caretaker. She was on Hospice home care, which included regular visits from Nurses. I assisted in transporting her to and from the bathroom, preparing meals, and basically attending to her every need. I found this to be a rewarding experience. Once we found a live in aide I chose to make this my profession. I spent two years caring for an 88-year-old female with beginning to progressive stages of Dementia. We became the best of friends. Her family members were impressed with how I treated her and also with my ability to maintain upkeep of the house and her health on a daily basis. I recently moved to Florida and would like to continue on this path of care giving.
