My caring for seniors started when my mom had cancer. I cared for her until she passed to heaven in 1989. Later on I went to work at a state school with medically fragile clients for two years until 2002. I also worked in private care with two little ladies, separately, for approximately nine months until the family put them in nursing homes. Another lady I cared for had a major stroke and was in a coma, and has since passed on. Four years ago I moved home to care for my step-mom who had cancer; 2 years & God healed her cancer but Alzheimer's became full-blown so 1 year ago we had to put her into a Rehab; per doctors orders. She won't ever be able to return home. Here in San Angelo as of January 2011 I cared for a young lady of 70 years who had fallen and broken her tailbone. She needed someone to help her part-time but it quickly turned into a live-in care giving position for 3 1/2 months until she decided to move closer to her son in Red Oak, TX. We are still very close and I miss her but my prayers were answered and she is getting better. I am now looking for an opportunity to help someone else on a permanent part-time position as God sees fit to provide. Hours would vary as your needing help time may vary.
