I have always enjoyed being able to help others who may not be able to completely care for themselves the way they used to. Four years ago when my mother was diagnosed with terminal Cancer, she wanted to remain in her home but needed help in doing so and I was fortunate enough to be able to help her. I did the shopping, cooking, laundry, housework, and helped her with her personal care when she could no longer do it by herself. I drove her to and from her chemotherapy and doctors appointments. I am very familiar with medications, I kept a journal of when and what medications she took each time per the doctor's orders. That way if someone else sat with her, they would know when each dose was due next. I read to her, we took walks, played cards and board games and also we would just sit and have some very nice conversations. It helped me realize that the little things in life mean the most and if I can help in any way to make a person more comfortable at home and be a great companion to them I would be honored. I pride myself on being a very trustworthy, dependable, caring, dedicated, reliable and hardworking person. If I seem like a good fit for someone you know or a family member please call me.
