I find senior citizens to be a highly undervalued part of society! I spent several months taking care of my dying grandfather in 2008. It was the most precious time I ever spent with him. He was so appreciative to not have been left alone with doctors and nursed, but to have family with him. I helped take care of my mom while growing up because she was burdened with rheumatoid arthritis at the very young age of 30. I enjoy helping others and learning from others. I believe that the senior citizens of our community have so much wisdom to share. I enjoy every opportunity I get to sit down and listen to my 96-year-old great aunt tell stories of her life. She is still such a smart woman and I learn something new every time I see her.
I am hoping that I can help someone who doesn't have that family member they can lean on or maybe whose family lives far away.
I have no formal training in Geriatric Care, but I have experience taking care of my Grandma, Grandpa and mother
