I have worked in adult family homes for the last 4 years. I was a manager for 2 of those years and then relocated my work to another city. My qualifications include working with people diagnosed with Parkinson's, Alzheimer's, dementia and other conditions. I am a registered nursing assistant. I love working with the residents, whether elderly, disabled or both. Their quality of life is of utmost importance to me and it shows both in my work and in my personal interactions with the residents. Before beginning my career in adult family homes, I was a phlebotomist. I enjoyed that work as well, but working with the elderly and/or disabled proved to me far more rewarding to me professionally and personally. My current employer just started a new home for me to manage, but the number of residents has not grown enough to support both a manager and a live in caregiver. Thus, I am seeking work elsewhere. I would like to give my current employer sufficient notice before taking a new job, but I am eager to find employment that more fully utilizes my aptitude and capabilities to the fullest!
