I have been caring for seniors since I was out of high school. My first job was a volunteer at the retirement home that was affiliated with our church. It gives you such joy to be able to put a smile on someones face. I believe that seniors are sometimes forgotten and they are the reason that we are here. I enjoy working with seniors because they tell us our history and the many stories they share with you about their lives and past experiences. Seniors can teach you so much and remind you of things that many people have forgotten. Remember when people would sit around and crochet and knit and cook meals together for churches and help others. I want to give back because when I work with a senior they put a smile on my face and I hope that I can give them joy and a smile and a laugh as well.
