I have cared for my elderly husband throughout his final illness the past 4 years. He had CHF, diabetes, arthritis, COPD, and it was necessary for me to dress him toward the end and I felt feeding him would be next. I am presently helping a close elderly friend who recently was discharged from the hospital but it is a short term position.
I would like to help with transportation to medical appointments, shopping, recreational pursuits, or any type of outing that is desired. I am a good cook and would be able to provide healthy meals, as much as the person wants.
I was raised with elderly grandparents and during my years as a flight attendant I gravitated to elderly passengers who sometimes became confused or needed additional assistance. I am compassionate and patient and a good listener.
