Four years ago my Father was diagnosed with terminal cancer. I went on FMLA and became an in home care provider during his passing. Although it was one of the hardest times of my life so far, it is also one of the most beautiful. Ever since that experience I have wanted my life's work to include providing comfort and care for the elderly and the terminally ill.

Over the past few years I have helped care for my mother through bi-lateral hip replacement surgery, getting her to physical therapy appointments, making meals, cleaning her house, and even assisting her directly after surgery when her mobility was extremely limited.
I have also taken care of an elderly woman who was a survivor of multiple strokes. My duties included transitioning her from her bed, to chair, bathroom, bathing and cooking for her. As well as transitioning her to her wheel-chair so that she could go for walks, and providing companionship.
I am currently cleaning the house of an elderly couple and simply do whatever chores or errands are a bit too strenuous for them now.
