I am available occasionally to provide overnight care, transportation, companion care, shopping, run errands, and similar services. I was raised to value and respect our elders and spent a lot of time with our senior family members and neighbors. When I was a teen, my family and I frequently visited one of my grandmas in the nursing home and it wasn't long before we also developed friendships with many of the other seniors there. We were fascinated with their life stories and we felt like part of their family and we know they felt the same way, too. I also volunteered at our local hospital as a candy striper where I served and tended to the needs and wishes of many seniors. I enjoyed it so much I signed up for a First Aid, CPR and Emergency Child Birth course with our local volunteer ambulance service just so I was qualified to transport seniors to and from the hospital and their homes. I also joined our local ambulance service as a volunteer and served for a few years part time. When I first moved to Atlanta in 1989, one of my customers was a senior woman who was recuperating from some medical conditions. I provided companion care, did light housekeeping, prepared her meals, etc. She was a great lady who had raised five sons and it was a privilege to spend time with her. Over the past several years in the limousine business, some of my favorite customers have been seniors. I am not a nurse, CNA, medical assistant or medical technician so if your needs require services which would best be served with training in these areas, I would encourage you to seek a provider with training, credentials and experience in these fields.
