I have 10+ years of care-giving experience. I began caring for my father who had dementia. I took care of him at home until the need for him to go into a care home. Although I did not agree with my siblings about his going into a home he ended up in one. I believe that people should be able to stay in their own homes as long as possible. That is why I have chosen in home care-giving as my profession. I know that people are more comfortable in their own homes. Having someone come in and assist them in their daily activities is what I love to do. This way the person is comfortable. I currently am employed as a caregiver but, am looking for more hours.
