As a child, I spent a lot of time with my grandparents who played a large role in my upbringing. I feel like every senior citizen deserves a "Peter Pan" attendant, one that stays intrigued by their youthful stories and experiences but able to give them the physical and emotional care they need.
I have volunteered at Senior Homes for almost 2 years and although I have never been paid for my services, I always gave my job my all.
Emergency situations with a senior are no problem. I am very comfortable with my abilities and believe that if any type of emergency arise, I would immediately call the senior's physician followed by medical services if necessary. Lastly, I would phone the family to let them know of the events.
