I am recently retired but have worked in assisted living facilities, physicians' offices, and hospitals for a number of years. Last year and for an entire year I moved to North Carolina to live with my brother in order to take care of his "special" needs. He is a stroke survivor who has lost all use of his (l) arm, has partial use of his (l) leg, and, as he describes himself, "a man with a broken brain."
I have also completed a program to receive my diploma as an Occupational Therapy Aide.
I would cherish the opportunity to care for a senior citizen or any adult who may need my services. I find older adults, like myself, to be beautiful and dignified, worthy of any and all assistance and companionship.
I am available Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. until noon, and must request a position as close to my home in Vernon Hills at this time.
I am healthy and love animals, so pets would never be a problem.
I have also had childcare experience as a nanny for my grandchildren. I provided early childhood childcare, plus some tutoring, light housekeeping, cooking, etc.
