I have enjoyed working as a private in-home health caregiver and CNA. For me, it is a rewarding profession. While getting to know my patient I find ways to enhance their life and in turn help give them a better quality of life. Each person is unique and require different needs. I am versatile and have the capacity to mold myself and my care to fit each individual. I put their interests and safety first. So by keeping these things in mind I ensure that your family member is not only well-cared for but happy. I tend to become a true companion quickly with my clients. I do this by enjoying moments with laughter, or comforting them during difficult times. I have helped seniors with various needs including a fellow with COPD who used oxygen, a woman who is blind with disabilities, to a woman who just needed me to run errands and prepare meals. My duties have also been inclusive of a personal assistant. Keeping all personal and medical logs for the client, interviewing and orienting new caregivers to their role in the home, communication with doctors and caregivers and family members (including patient advocacy and family liaison), keeping the client's day-to-day calendar, transportation to and from all appointments (personal and medical), meal preparation, personal shopping, and also some administrative duties. I am computer literate. I am 54 years of age and have a daughter who attends the University of Florida. I have lived in St. Petersburg, Florida since 1979. I attended college in PA and currently I am a licensed Florida Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
