I enjoy being a caregiver for the seniors, or people who just need the help. Being a companion makes me feel good. I am a loving, patient person. I cared for an 88-year-old female senior with dementia/Alzheimer's. I would live-in as needed. I worked all shifts was the main caregiver, worked the most hours, than I started working Mon.- Fri. 12 hour shift, from 5:30 a.m. -5:30 p.m. I also had the opportunity to care for a 94-year-old senior female. Now I am currently caring for a 80-year-old senior male. My duties are: showers, sponge bathe, prepare meals, administer medication as instructed if used, assist with walking, wheelchair, hospital equipment if needed, exercising if requested by physical therapist. Communication with family who is responsible for the care of the individual. The use of Depend diapers if needed. Laundry, light cleaning as needed. The most important thing is making the person comfortable and happy!
