I am a 1:1 Companion Aide/Safety Attendant available in Rochester, NY.
I have worked in the health care field for 6 years now, ranging from medical office to direct care as a Resident Care Aide at assisted living facilities.
Currently, I am working at a hospital as a 1:1 Patient Safety Attendant per diem. My job duties consist of assistance with ambulation and safety (patients who are fall risks), safety and self-harm watch (suicidal monitoring), assisting with feeding (coaching and encouraging), companionship, bathroom and shower assistance as well. I work closely with physicians and nurses to observe and report any medical changes that might help with treatment and diagnosis with patients who are admitted to the hospital. I have a degree in Medical Assisting and am also certified and trained to obtain vitals, do glucose checks, medication assistance and charting and reporting on patients, etc.
I am currently looking for a FT private case or a few PT cases. My schedule is very flexible, ranging from days to overnights. I would love to come and meet with your family to discuss how I can be of assistance.
