I have been a paid caregiver since June, 2010. From June 27th, 2010 until February, 2011, I cared for a sweet couple in Bellevue. The husband had Prostate Cancer, and passed away in February 2011. I have continued to care for his wife, in their home. I work 12-hour, 24-hour, and 48-hour shifts. Since the passing of the Colonel, I have been the #1 Caregiver for his wife, even cutting her hair! I also have provided fill-in and respite care for two delightful ladies with advanced Dementia. I was recently hired by a family I met through this site, to care for a quiet and sweet gentleman with some physical limitations and beginning Dementia. He suffered a fall, broken his hip, and unfortunately did not recover.

Prior to working as a paid caregiver I logged many hours of volunteer elderly care experience. I absolutely love caring for seniors. I know I can make a positive difference in the life of one senior at a time. I provide laughter, music, and activities. I love to cook, and love to find ways to make eating and drinking enjoyable. I have excellent references, which I will happily provide. I'm not looking for full time work, as I have a home-based business which requires a fair amount of my time, including nutritional counseling for weight and disease control. I do not mind 12-hour shifts. My vehicle is "senior-friendly". I am ready to make a change and do care on a regular, part-time basis, for one or two seniors. I will consider overnight care from time to time, but prefer hourly daytime assignments.
