Hello, thank you for reading my profile and considering me for your senior caregiver needs! My name is Roslyn; I am a native New Yorker, who relocated to New Jersey 7 years ago to care for my elderly mother, who suffered from hypertension, type-2 diabetes, and Alzheimer's disease. As these diseases progressed, I became her full time live-in caregiver administering her medications; accompanying her to appointments; providing companionship and mental stimulation; assisting her with communicating, preparing meals, feeding, toileting, changing, bathing, dressing, walking, transferring, shopping, laundry, housekeeping, and various day to day tasks. Prior to and in addition to caring for my mother, I was also the sole full time caregiver of my father for 10 years. I performed all of the previously mentioned tasks for my father as well; however, he required different medication, as he had different ailments, including Glaucoma and Parkinson's disease. I had the pleasure of caring for my parents for a total of 20 years combined, until they were completely at rest, at the age of 86. Working with the elderly is certainly a challenge, but also a wonderful opportunity to honor and serve those who served others for so many years. I am passionate about what I do, because, I believe it is a calling and that I have the personality, temperament, compassion, knowledge, and experience to provide your loved one with the respect, dignity, and attentive loving care that they deserve.
