I have been around seniors for many years. I treat every person with respect and dignity. It is very hard for most people to rely on strangers for outside help. I try to be easy going and natural, so that any stress about this issue
quickly dissipates.

I was teaching English to several groups of seniors in Germany, when I was living there, until a few years ago, and I have taken the "Fundamentals of Care" in order to qualify for light home care here. I say "light", while I won't be able to do heavy lifting.

I was helping some mentally challenged individuals in New Mexico, and most recently, was helping a woman with dementia and a younger woman who had down syndrome. I prepared meals, and drove them to some appointments. Mostly keeping them company, so that they were safe.
