As far back as I can remember, being a caregiver came natural to me. I am the oldest of seven children, I learned to cook, clean an to be responsible as a young child. This where that nurturing bone comes from. I have over 25 years of experience as a caregiver, but over 10 years of paid experience. Prior to beginning a career in the medical field while in high school my grandfather had a stroke and everyday after school, I would go to the rehab and assist him by bathing, ambulating, feeding and to keep him company. After this experience I knew that providing senior care is what I would find great pleasure in. I enjoy just being in the presence of seniors, they have life long experiences you can learn a lot from them. I love hearing there stories and learning about there background. They deserve to be treated with the up most respect, they have been around to long, to not be. To be a successful caregiver, you have to honestly enjoy what you do. Out all my experience with senior care, private care has been my best.
