I was in a monastery and one of the jobs I performed while I was there was for an elderly monk who was 100 years old at the time and was suffering from bladder cancer for the previous 13 years. I was in charge of giving him his medicine before bedtime and was with him overnight to help him if he needed to be transferred to and from his bed to the portable commode and to his chair if he was having trouble sleeping on his bed. I also had given care to another elderly man who was having mobility issues and prepared meals for him and helped to walk and get his physical therapy done each day I was there, showers were given as well.
