I have had the opportunity in helping with the care of my elderly aunt. She is in a wheelchair and has to have help with housekeeping, taking her to doctor appointments, doing her laundry, changing sheets, doing dishes and helping her with shopping for groceries. But more than all of that, I had the opportunity to get to know her better and talk with her a lot more. I have learned much about her and myself.

I have found through this experience that this the type of work I would like to do. I love what I do and it give me such a great feeling of satisfaction knowing that I have helped someone but sometimes its more than that. Its knowing I was there to help them if nothing more than someone to spend some time with and talk to.
