I have been involved with senior citizens for the past 11 years of my life. I started helping my neighbor with her bedridden mother at a young age where I mostly fixed meals for her, administered medicine at appropriate times, and served as a companion. I also volunteered for four years at a home for seniors with Alzheimer's and dementia assisting with resident activities. This past summer I also completed an internship in Catonsville, MD, where I worked with the Intermissions program which provides activities for seniors with memory loss and provided care relief for their spouses or family members.
