I have took care of an elderly lady that was 99. She needed help ambulating, bathing, oral hygiene, transportation to Dr. apt. I also cooked, cleaned and done laundry. I was with her about 4 years. I also helped an Alzheimer's patient for about 4 years. She was in the last stages and in bad shape. She needed total care and constant attention. However, with both patients I bonded well and enjoyed working with them. Time was never an issue because I am able to work as needed. I have my own transportation and am willing to do errands if need be. If patient is able I would like to take them to get a bite to eat and get them out of the house. It makes me feel good to help others that can't do the things that they used to be able to do. The smallest things can make such a great difference!
