I am a mature woman who spent 5 years working at a large retirement community in Peabody, MA. My primary duties were to provide all travel opportunities for the residents. It was my goal to offer enjoyable, stress free and safe travel. To insure that, I received training as a First Responder, Certification in Alzheimer's/Dementia and acquired a CDL with passenger endorsement. As of March 4, 2001, I successfully completed a Certified Nursing Assistant Program. I am currently a certified Home Health Aide (HHA) and am waiting to take the state test to become certified as a Nursing Assistant. My attention to detail and safety created a trust with hundreds of residents who traveled locally as well as abroad with me. It also afforded me a very clear understanding of what seniors require in terms of physical and emotional care. On a personal note: I helped my 85-year-old father care for my mother who lived with advanced Alzheimer's for the last 3 years of her life. I love being in the company of seniors and adding to the quality of their lives. Although my availability excludes nights and weekends I am available for both, on occasion or as needed. I prefer to work in the Merrimack Valley or North Shore regions.
