I took care of my grandmother who had dementia and was unable to walk. I also took care of my mom and dad for the last five years. Mom had dementia and RA. She could hardly walk so I had to assist her with getting back and forth from the bed, potty chair, wheelchair, bathtub, and car. I also had to cook, clean the house, pick up prescriptions, wash clothes, grocery shop, take her to the doctor and store as needed. My dad has Alzheimer's. I had to bathe, shave, change diapers, fix his food, and take him to the doctor. I also help elderly people at my church who are in need of help with getting their groceries, getting to the doctor, and sitting with them while their relatives run errands.

It is an honor to be able to bring sunshine to someone's life.
