I care for my 85-year-old mother in-law part time. My 85-year-old mother in-law has lived with me for one year. We would have breakfast together and at least once per week we would go out to lunch. Recently the children have decided to share her.
I now have her living with me every two months. We go for scenic drives around town. We go for walks on the beach and to the park. We go for walks around the neighborhood. We watch TV together and I listen to her stories of how the world was hard back in the day but beautiful. We clean together and fold laundry together and I try to make her as active as her body can allow. We look at family albums and reminisce on the days gone by.
