Apart from being an experienced tutor/nanny, I also am a home health caregiver. I have two years plus experience working with seniors especially those with dementia
and Alzheimer;s. I took care of my grandparents as a teenager. I am a certified phlebotomist and have a background in health care. I still work part time as a caregiver to a 98-year-old lady. I help patients
with their bathing, personal hygiene and grooming. I do housekeeping cooking/planning and preparing meals that meet patient's nutritional or doctor's requirements, shop for them and administer required medication. I read to and
write for them, assist them with other tasks such as filing documents, bill paying, answering and making phone calls for them, taking messages for them and perform other tasks that they require. I also can engage them in arts and crafts or creative therapy i.e, beading or jewelry making, sewing, paper folding /origami scrapbooking if they are interested.
