I have a little over a year experience assisting seniors to live on their own. I have had experience with Alzheimers and Dementia. I worked for an agency during that one year period of time and I can provide references. I have also worked in a nursing home kitchen as a Dietary Aide. My mother works as a Home Health Aide to seniors and has over 20 years experience. She, my mother, actually got me interested in caring for seniors. My fondest memories of being a child where when I could spend time with my grandparents. I enjoy cooking, baking, crocheting, coupon-ing (or finding anything at a great price), flea markets, crafting and would like to get into gardening again. I especially enjoy learning from the knowledge that seniors have attained throughout the years. I would like to take a class to become a Certified Nurses Assistant (CNA) and I am looking into getting a grant so that I can be able to have that title. I have an Associates degree in Medical Coding, but I have found that I would rather work with people one on one than sit in an office and work on paperwork. I have a network of other Caregivers, Medical Assistants and Nurses that I have worked with in the past, in case you are looking for 24 hour care.
